The wines of Fontanafredda, in Piedmont, reflect the true tradition of the Langhe: the goal is to keep the typical characteristics of the grapes of origin intact and to do this the winery has decided to use selected native yeasts in their own vineyards ferment the musts in cement and steel vats to then refine the wines in large oak barrels, greatly reduce the use of sulphites, more than 40% less than the legal limits.
And that's not all: in full respect of both the traditional flavor of the wine and the surrounding environment Fontanafredda uses bottles with up to 85% recycled glass, and both the labels and the cartons bear the FSC logo, which guarantees their realization with materials recycled or deriving from properly managed forests.
