Description of the activity
The lands that today host the vineyards once belonged to the noble Trentino family of the Counts Alberti. Over a century ago, this estate passed to the current family when Countess Alberti brought it as a dowry to Géza Dell'Adami de Tarczal, an admiral of the Austro-Hungarian fleet. The winery experienced its greatest development during the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, an era in which the estate's Marzemino wine was a constant and elegant presence on the Court tables. Today, after more than fifty years of dedication by the current owner, the tradition is carried forward together with his daughters Elena and Felicia, and the winemaker Matteo. Vallagarina offers a perfect habitat for viticulture. The soil is rich in basalt, ideal for enhancing grape varieties like Cabernet, Schiava, and above all Marzemino d'Isera, the winery's flagship grape variety. In these areas, grape and wine production has deep roots, with written records dating back as early as the mid-seventeenth century.
